Trip to the Beach photos by Catherine Mccue Boes
Monday 9-8-10 Beach scene.
I recently drove to Cannes and found that the city continued to be dominated by the same familiar sights: brown-skinned individuals, beaches, and predominantly private areas. The beach was so crowded that people were packed tightly together, resembling sardines lying on a small section of the shoreline. I couldn’t help but wonder if they were aware of the risks associated with skin cancer.
Despite the overwhelming crowds, we still enjoyed the ambiance of the place. Peter and I declined the opportunity to swim in the beach due to the large number of people. As with Monaco, fashion-conscious women were seen carrying their small toy dogs along the hot asphalt.
During our stay in Cannes, we visited two exhibitions, which was a surprising discovery. Both exhibitions showcased a variety of sculptures and ceramics, and both were of high quality. Peter, on the other hand, dedicated himself to capturing the essence of the city through his photography, capturing images of cars, boats, and people.
