Mokulito  It  appears to be an unconventional method of commencing, but wood lithography or mokulito offers a remarkable alternative to stone lithography. Essentially, it operates in the same manner, albeit without the necessity of substantial stone and specialised printing presses. While it is feasible to print without using a press, this particular series of work will employ an etching press. To begin this project, select images from my brief two-minute sketches. These sketches use different life models and aren’t intended to be completed works. I was looking for bold lines and simple compositions, and I didn’t want to invest too much time in them, as it’s the mokulito process, that iam interested in. I started  this project by selecting images from my sketches. These are concise two-minute sketches featuring various life models and are not intended to be completed works.

North by Northwest 2019 North by Northwest Amidst the precipice of environmental transformation, Australia has witnessed a surge of public protests regarding the extraction of new and existing coal and natural gas resources. This movement has garnered significant attention, particularly from a new generation of young people who have vociferously expressed their concerns. “North by Northwest” is a series of artworks that draw inspiration from my experience as an artist in residence at a remote gas plant. During my tenure, I was granted the freedom to explore the surrounding landscape. My primary focus was on the visual degradation of the environment and the preservation of artefacts destined for return to their original location upon the plant’s decommissioning. These artefacts, stored in plastic bags on wooden pallets, persisted long after the plant’s closure.

The images produced use techniques such as mokulito, ‘wood lithography’, monoprint and digitally altered photography. A fter a very busy 2015, with renovating the little house on the river bend I can finally get back to work. Some of  the new artist book   'The Secret Lives of Girlfriends"  will be exhibited in a group exhibition at the Graydon Gallery in February, this is a great mix of regional artist all working in Queensland, the  exhibition is shaping up as one of the best exhibition seen in Brisbane in  a very long time, all are established artists working in a diverse range of media from painting, assemblage, sculpture, photography and printmaking,  a must seen exhibition, this may be the only time to see all of Queensland's best artists in one gallery. So come along and enjoy the exhibition, at Graydon Gallery 29 Merthyr road New Farm Queensland, opening 23 Feb to 6 March 2016 6 to  8 pm
