Time in the studio

Hybrid printmaking In the midst of a full-house renovation, my schedule has been severely curtailed, leaving me with only one day a week dedicated to studio work. Despite this, I have managed to continue working on some ideas for new hybrid prints and drawings. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has cast a shadow over our lives, and it has been a challenging two years. The constant discussions surrounding the virus have made it difficult to escape its influence. It is undeniable that this pandemic has had a profound impact on our lives, and it is time to reflect on the significance of freedom of movement and travel. I share the sentiments of many others who have family members currently in lockdown. Unfortunately, I am unable to visit or provide assistance to them. The isolation and restrictions imposed are undoubtedly difficult, but they are crucial in controlling the ever-evolving nature of this virus. Fisher wife's tale 2019 etching. A set of six distinct etchings was created for this series. Regrettably, the unfinished plates were damaged during transit. However, I had produced a state print of three of the six etchings, which I utilised to recreate the new plates.

Another version: War Games 16 etchings, Color and b/w etchings, soft ground and dry point. Housing: Hard cover in black book cloth with handmade marbled paper, red ties with bullet casing, double concertina artist book. Unique 1987 Part of the Boys toys series that started in 1987. Watching my son playing with toy soldiers lets to a body of work that reflects the destructive nature of boys and their toys. Does this sound like someone you know?
