A delightful story of the Turnbull namesake and Robert Bruce, King of Scotland. The book starts with a family crest, three bulls heads surrounded by a shield, (linocut), and the pages open out to reveal a remarkable story between a bull, king and tall stranger. An image of a threatening bull moves across the contour of the pages and seems to move into a full charge, stopped only by the brave man depicted in the center page; again, linocut is used to great effect. The pages continue to the conclusion, the saving of the king, the defeating of the bull and the renaming of the tall stranger, a truly enchanting artist book, complete with leather cover.
