Someone made this, made by hand looks at ‘Trench Art’ and reminds us of the war generation, where recycled artillery was fashioned into every day and artistic objects. With most men away fighting, it was up to the female population to take up role of famer, truck driver and factory worker. It was common for these woman and others to   make use of discarded bullets, casings, shells and grenades’. My own family members have passed down items fashioned out of Trench Art. A great reminder of how difficult times where during war, a lovely book.
