Fluxus, is an artist book that gives us a glimpse into the world of Joseph Beuys a German performance artist who mostly works in the concept of humanism. A complex individual who died in 1986, Beuys was anti-art in the traditional sense and believed that society needed a new form art to led humanity into the future, this he named ‘social sculpture’. This artist book includes a portrait of Beuys and makes mention of one of his performances, the Dead Hare, where Beuys moved through a gallery describing art to a dead hare, the book give us a hint at the man, the artist whose complex ideals in arts influence other artists like Andy Warhol. An absorbing book that requires you think.
